ABOUT ME

I'm Aaron Hanlin, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker from Birmingham, Alabama. I enjoy talking with people and have experience working with a diverse range of persons and issues. I have worked with frustrated partners, stressed employees, and exhausted parents. I enjoy working with members of the LGBTQ community, older adults, immigrants and asylees, children of immigrants, those who are neurodivergent, and people dealing with chronic health issues. I am an LGBTQ and neurodivergent affirming Therapist.  I have helped those experiencing depression and anxiety, trauma related symptoms, grief, and those feeling unfulfilled. I use Brainspotting, a person-centered approach, collaborative inquiry, existential therapy, and a trauma informed care perspective. I believe in working collaboratively with my clients as no one knows you better than you do. I also enjoy fishing, cooking, reading, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family.
